Dr. Woody Allen texted me today.
It was a benign little note, “Just wanted to say hello and see how you are doing”.
If I had liked him, it would have been a thrilling little gesture. I would have found it sweet.
Alas, it was greeted with a sigh. Should I have hit him over the head with a sledge hammer? I didn’t say “talk soon” or “let’s do this again”.
Much like Jigga says, on to the next.

Hahah well that’s nice? I feel like sighing is pretty much the only way to respond in such situations,
But I must admit, I’m also wondering: did you text him back? I always feel like it’s extremely rude to blatantly ignore a text, but post-date text exchanges can be pretty sticky when the date involved excessive twiches (or similar debacles!)

Sigh indeed. Why is it the ones we DON’T like are the ones who make the kind gestures such as this?

Well at least now I know what most of the women who I have dated have done….
But seriously. This is why I generally always go on two dates. Sometimes the first date is so full of first date jitters that the first impression bombs, and I have had a couple like that. So, to give the benefit of the doubt, I go out on a second date.
However, if that bombs, there is not a third.
And right now, there is nada, which I am fine with, I think.
