Love List

by Lemmonex on October 10, 2011

I love the hiss of the Prosecco bottle, the first splash of bubbly dizziness that hits my glass as I gab about my week. I love the sound of a New England accent, even the resurgence of mine when I have had too much of that Prosecco. I love the pouring rain, the window flung open so it can lull me to sleep. I love kisses you don’t question and a hand held tight. I will, forever and always, love black lined eyes and high heeled feet. I love my friends who will drag me out when I need it but leave me alone when I am a menace to society. I love the internet, ever indulgent of my vanity and foul mouth. I love awful prison documentaries and mobster biographies. I love to laugh at (and still listen to) the angry emo girl music of my teens: Fiona Apple, Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos. I love the sound and smell of the beach, but not the sand. I love not camping. I love watching my friends watch football while I drink. I love daydreaming about my next vacation. I love planning my next move. I love the righteous indignation of my friends when someone hurts me; I love how much energy this saves me. I love the looks of a fresh tattoo and ink with a story. I love my neighborhood. I love Coach Taylor’s emotive hair, Ron Swanson’s manly moustache, and Opie Winston’s ass. I love how many surprises still await me. I love the smell of gasoline and fresh sheets. I love the hum of a full and vibrant restaurant, people working hard and passionately. I love my childhood teddy bear and the ring that was my mother’s when she was a girl, yet it still fits my tiny fingers. I love a perfect run of songs on Pandora. I love that there will one day be more to add to this list.

Lemmonex really enjoy your blog. From this latest post I see you are a fan of Pandora. If you have a jailbroken iPhone there is an app to give you unlimited skips. Not running out of Pandora skips is something I love! Have a great day!

I love drinking with you while I pretend to watch football when in actuality I’m really enjoying watching my friends watch football while I drink. ~Cheers

If we lived close, we could have the ultimate girl’s night drinking Prosecco and watching prison documentaries.

lemmonex really love your blog. from your recent post i see you like prosecco. there’s a girl who lives up the street from you who in a pinch can be a prosecco drinking buddy. having someone to drink prosecco with is something i love! have a great day.

maybe poor doug isn’t a spammer but he sorta seemed like it and i’m in a sorta snarky mood.

Every word of that. EVERY SINGLE WORD.

And added: I love my friend who writes this blog.

COSIGNED. except for on my list, replace “new england” with “southern.” other than that, you’ve kinda read my mind.
