I am a girl who likes things. Pretty things. Shiny things. Black things. While I know that money sure as hell cannot buy happiness, I do know it can buy me things. That is ok in my book. Sometimes a girl just wants things. Here are some things I am loving and things I am lusting after.
Loving
Lancome Artliner Liquid Eye Liner: While I am not Taylor Momsen, I love eyeliner. I have worn it every single day since high school. Every. Single. Day. Ask my mom. I have tried all of the liquids, and I think I am ready to say this is the best.
Ray Ban Large Aviator, Gold Rims/Gold Mirror Lenses: Yes, I know I was beaming about my Prada sunglasses last week. These are my alternate pair. They are sleek, they match everything, and no one can see you checking them out. I may be developing a sunglasses problem, but I accept this. They offer no judgment. Gain five pounds and they still fit!
Sterling Silver Monogrammed “L” Necklace: It is simple, it is cute, it is conservative enough for work functions without being boring.
Oribe Anti-Humidity Spray: Perfect for DC summer. Just as good on dreary days. It keeps my mass of hair in check. Yes, it is expensive but I use Suave Professional mousse. It evens out.
Lusting
Alexander McQueen Crewneck Skull Sweater: I am currently obsessed with the whole skull trend going on right now. This is the pinnacle; chic and edgy. I can’t seem to find a down market replica. This is making me sad.
Jean Paul Gauthier Quilted Leather Jacket: Just look at it. It will be hard to look away. Perfection.
Calvin Klein Metal Heel Pumps: These are not practical. I know that. They also smack of 1996. I don’t care. They are high as hell but the platform makes them walkable. The metal adds some added excitement. I may have to buy these in black.
Michael Kors Square Face Rose Gold Watch: It is a whole lot of pink…and I know I could work it. I keep coming back to this. I am imagining it as an unexpected pop to a work outfit.
There we have it. Yes, it’s frivilous, but it doesn’t make it any less fun. And I give to charity. STOP JUDGING ME.

Agreed on many sunnies. I have RX Ray-bans (it’s Cambodia, they’re probably fake but look real!) and bunches of other non-rx pair. I am lusting after an army of prescription sunglasses. At $35 a pop here in Cambo, this is one dream I think I can make come true.
I also have an L necklace - but not quite as fancy.
sweaters like that (and boots and blazers) make me miss fall and winter. no judgement here. just nodding my head and thinking, “oooh, i want that too!”

I own those same Ray-bans, and I am in love with them. I am also in love with that Jean Paul Gauthier jacket! Wow! Beautiful…

I’m with you on the eyeliner front, I wear buckets of it, although I don;t wear make-up to work, so I look like a compoletely different person in different parts of my life.
I love the gold ban’s too, but they are waaaaaay too big for my pea-sized noggin. I’m pretty partial to my wayfarers though.

Nothing wrong with loving/lusting for stuff. You girls love this stuff, we dudes, a cap or some sneakers would be just fine.

I’ve been lusting after a different MK rose gold watch: http://www.zappos.com/michael-kors-mk5311-light-rose-gold-rose-gold
I was going to do a post like this today actually, haha. Now I might hold off. But god, being frivolous and materialistically lusty can be so much fun.

Obviously, I need a fashion consultant.

Frivolity is good for you. Also, I’ll be stoked if the nineties come back. Not so much the early, grungy, shoulder-paddy part of the decade, but the later, Kate Moss for CK and Spice Girls’ stripper heels thing. Remember gelly sandals? Those things were hot as hell.

anyone can pull off trashy hooker — that’s why god invented Halloween. also, anyone can be an asshat on the internet.

The day you look like a trashy hooker, Lexa, is the day pigs fly & hell freezes over & all that other cliche shit. Notttt even close.
Also: Damn you for only including links & no pictures, which means I’m not just browsing through these various sites, “shopping.”
And PS… just say no to those shoes, my friend. Just say no.

Well, this is the last I am going to say about this: I may sometimes dress like a trashy hooker-I have quite the affinity for my own tits-but at least I have the balls to use my own name and email when I make comments on the internet.
Have a nice night.

You’re my favorite trashy hooker. xoxoxo

I support this message. From the eyeliner to the “L” to the SHOES!!! AND the affinity for our tits. xoxo

I love it when people try to work out their childhood issues by anon comments on the internet. It’s like a fun guessing game….Daddy issues, fat child, Catholic school, etc

Q on the eyeliner….I am obsessed with the MAC liquid b/c it stays on forever. Have you tried it and what do you think? Only prob I have with it is the applicator. Also, the Dior eye pencil is orgasmic, stays on forever and ever

that watch is gorgeous. if it came in stainless steel (silverish color), I’d totally get it.
