]]>I feel you on this as well. I hate when people ask “what do you do” as if what I do to earn play money defines me as a person. I usually end up saying “your mom” or something to that effect.
]]>But it’s why I like finding people who understand there’s a difference between achievement and status. You should absolutely celebrate and praise people for their achievements; it’s encouraging. But questions and judgments about their status are bastardly.
