Irish Lebowski out did herself.

Do you see all this food? It was my bitch last night.

Also, there is no champagne left in France.  I drank it all.

My friend sassE has coined the term Obamover.

I have an Obamover of epic proportions.

Check me out at So Good today…and back to real business tomorrow.

In honor of my Kenyan uncle, whose favorite movie is Coming to America, I say: Yes! Yes! In the face!!!

Square in the face!

Pigs in a blanket and cookies. I want that for breakfast.

I am sure you can imagine how happy the sight of those pigz made me…

What in hell are those cookies? Reindeer? Long legged bunny rabbits?

(yeah, I know they’re supposed to be donkeys. . .but they sure as hell look like long legged bunny rabbits.)

I said the exact same thing last night… They tasted delicious though.

I swear the cookie cutter looks much more like a donkey. I have a hard time getting the dough to keep from stretching into an unrecognizable blob as it cooks and rises, because if I roll it out too thin, I end up with burned cookies. Any tips to avoid that in the future, Lem?

Glad you have fun! No way would I have a party you’re coming to without pigz in blanketz.

I think the problem is the cutter it self…nothing you can really do. But they were clearly donkeys and they were freaking delicious.

HEART PIGZ IN BLANKETZ.

I think Obama owes me his first paycheck for how much I celebrated his win last night.

The pay check is kinda small…

Dear Lem and her loyal readers. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to anyone whom I may have offended yesterday with my diatribe on voting. It was not my intent to lecture nor preach. I just get so passionate about certain things. That being said, WE DID IT. I even brought Florida along this time!

Lem, the spread looks wonderful!

It is all Irish.

And Mommy, they have to know I get it from somewhere. Don’t worry.

Mommy? What happened to the 19 year old who became a 27 year old? In any event, in this reader’s opinion “mommy” has nothing to apologize for. The author of this blog, on the other hand, has a lot of splainin to do about how it is she goes to a party with a spread like that, doesn’t invite us and then rubs our noses in it by showing us what we missed! Can we insist on this? Yes we can!!!!

The Mommy was playful. Not everything is so serious.

What was serious was the awesomeness of the food!

I need to get invited to your parties more. The party I went to had.. uhh… chips and store bought salsa. It was an Obamination. I was McScrewed.

Oh, but was it salsa with black beans? That stuff is good.

Well if it’s enough to buy me a tylenol the size of a watermelon, I’ll take it.

It will be hard to wash down, for sure.

JP November 5, 2008 at 2:26 pm

Fun Obamover fact… Take ibuprofen (Motrin) the next day and not acetaminophen (A.K.A. Tylenol). Tylenol is toxic to the liver on its own. After a good night of punishing the liver, acetaminophen will exponentially increase your chances for not only liver failure, but also liver toxicity. Motrin is absorbed by the kidneys and will bypass the liver-just a safer route. Oh, and aspirin will cause blood thinning and gastrointestinal bleeding via ulcers due to its absorption in the stomach.

So next time you go on a bender, know your recovery poison. Welcome to the “Obamanation”.

You are doing the people’s work, JP. Thanks.

Nice spread, no matter how suspectly shaped the donkey cookies. The world is a better place today! Yippeeeeeee!!!

Indeed it is, Lisa. Indeed it is.

After seeing all that food, I thought you wrote Obowel mover.

Then I realized you would never write that.

I hate even seeing that in print on my site, frankly.

I had a McCain low-cholesterol turkey sandwich, with no lettuce, mustard or mayo, at 4:30 pm along with a glass of water.

It was not as tasty.

That sounds…dry. And boring.

After being lectured by mamabear yesterday like I was a 2 year old stomping around her house with mud soaked trainers, I seriously considered thinking about the possibility of voting. An event that has a likelihood of 4 standard deviations from the mean but then I realized I have dual citizenship. I am hopeful this country can right itself but….I have an escape plan.

“I seriously considered thinking about the possibility of voting”….awesome.

And welcome to my childhood, DF.

I celebrated the rehashing of Carter-era politics by eating two-day old leftovers from TGIF’s. It left me hunkering for something, anything, with some actual substance.

You wouldn’t have felt that way if you had the Chicken Tender BLT…it is delicious.

Those little blue donkeys kicked some elephant ass on Tuesday. I was busy eating “endive an era crab” while I sweated out the Virginia returns. My state came through in the end though!

It must have felt awesome to be a Virginian. You worked so hard, too. Congrats.
