Few things sound so sweet
As wind in trees, the sea’s roar,
Or a mother’s praise.
sd, that is really sweet. Thanks.
I am glad you are proud I am sassy, Mom.

]]>Thanks, babe. You knew me when I only needed attention from you… love you. xox
]]>Maybe it was just that particular form’s turn to get its due at long last? There is both art and science to cake, as with most or all of baking, so perhaps it was a lot of people noticing all at once that excellence is to be had, in childlike form. Totally guessing, here.
Oh, you said to mention if I tried out any of the posted recipes, and I was going to before getting swept into Haiku-land (I concede, by the way, to the more well-practiced pens):
A couple weeks ago I made a version of the balsamic chicken with spinach. Changes included using fresh (instead of canned) tomatoes, crushed (instead of chopped) garlic, and a little less spinach than called for, and also doing the onions 3-4 min. before adding the chicken. It occurred to me that it would be really easy to convert the recipe into a fantastic soup. Changes for next time: more spinach, and some thyme.
Good call on the fresh tomatoes; I just had canned. Sounds like you made some smart changes. Glad you liked.
Cupcakes were the new black about 2 years ago.
I think CakeLove is so popular because when it hit the scene, it was the only thing like it. DC was way behind the cupcake trend. Now, there are tons of places popping up. I hope they are trembling.
