Yesterday was the first genuinely good day I have had in a long time.
-Two great career opportunities came down the pike
-DC and federal tax returns arrived
-I celebrated the magnificent bettyjoan’s birthday…and she loved the gift I got her

I am sure I will be mowed down by a renegade bus this afternoon, for the Universe is not normally this kind, but at least I ate this before I died.

And as the bartender told me repeatedly, it was free! No charge for extras. I wanted to tell him I really would have paid an extra buck for the bacon, but that seems foolish.

I’m trapped in the Mountain Time Zone for now, where the mountain hippie / eco friendly thing is dominant, and I really miss that about Maryland — food that doesn’t fuck around.
With my metabolism, I’d eat three of those things and sleep it off. Wait, I’m not supposed to say that in the company of females, right? Oops.

I think it all balances out, though. Guys get to pig out and not worry about the consequences (until they reach a certain age), while girls get to go out to bars and clubs with no money and not worry about the consequences, since they’ll get guys to buy them drinks (again, until they reach a certain age).
If it were better to be a male or female, we would all be that sex.
I dont go out to scam drinks off men…that usually means you have to give them something in return.
